The short version
BeeSpell does not send personal data to Matter Layer or third parties.
BeeSpell is provided by Matter Layer Pty Ltd. It has no accounts, advertising, third party analytics, or tracking.
Data stored on the device
BeeSpell stores player names, word lists, settings, practice progress, and attempt history in the app's local storage. This information is used only to provide the app's spelling practice features.
Speech and generated content
Speech is produced on the device with the bundled neural voice model or Apple's speech frameworks. On supported devices, Apple Foundation Models can draft example sentences and definitions on the device. BeeSpell does not send this text or audio to Matter Layer or a third party.
Files and backups
BeeSpell reads only files the user selects for import and writes exports only to a location the user selects. Exported files remain outside BeeSpell until the user deletes them.
Apple device backups may include BeeSpell data according to the device owner's settings and Apple's policies. Matter Layer does not receive or control those backups.
Children's privacy
BeeSpell is designed for children ages 9 to 11 to use with a parent or guardian. The app does not ask children for contact details and does not transmit their data.
Deleting data
Players and word lists can be deleted inside BeeSpell. Deleting the app removes its local app container from the device. Exported files and Apple backups are managed separately by the user and Apple.

If this policy changes, the revised policy and its new date will be posted at beespell.com.au/privacy.

This static website has no analytics, advertising, account system, forms, or nonessential cookies. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and security events, to deliver and secure the service.
If you email BeeSpell, your message and address are processed by your email provider, Cloudflare Email Routing, and Matter Layer's receiving email provider so that Matter Layer can read and answer it. Do not include a child's personal information in a support message unless it is necessary.
This website processing does not change BeeSpell's App Store privacy response. The app does not send users to this website or transmit app data to it.
